T-shirt flower variation

Here is a blue variation. I used a jewel center on this one.

T-shirt flowers

Ingredients:

One old T-shirt
Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die or similar
Die Cutting Machine (I use a Cuttelbug)
Glimmer sprays (mine are homemade)
Stamens
Hot glue

Cut out shirt with flower die. Spray with glimmer sprays and let dry. Hot glue stamens in center and add petals around.

FYI- I have not had time to finish decorating but I'm being begged for photos of how the house turned out by Papa K and Mama J! Excuse any messes but here it goes.

Tutorial: Easel Cards

I've been asked to give dimensions for the easel cards. They are really easy and don't require that they all be the same size. The important thing to know is that the card base is twice the length of the card top. They are the same size wide so that when the base is folded in half it is the exact size as the top.

For example for a 6x6 card you will need top to be 6x6 and the base to be 12x12.

Or for a 4x6 card, top us 4x6 and base is either 4x12 or 8x6 depending on which direction you fold it.

Then you fold the base in half, then the front of the card in half again (see photos). This makes the easel stand. Then glue the card top to the bottom fold of the base. Hope this is clear as mud. Lol!

More cards and answer to the trip clues

I've been able to make some more cards lately. I hope you enjoy them. I try to make cards that suit the personality of the person it's intended for, but I do like to have a box made up for misc occasions that I can go to when I don't have time to make a special one.

On a side note my friend Sunshine sent me one of her first easel cards. She's previously been to France and Italy so she was excited over our upcoming trip. Isn't her travel card too cute! I love the surprise on the back of the card.

So for those of you guessing we travel to Europe in March. We are spending 4 days apiece in Paris, Florence, Venice, and Rome. If you have any favorites from those places let me know. We love to find great places to eat, see, shop and visit when we travel.

Have a great day!

Death of a tool...

As far as tool years you had a long life, 18 years. We had lots of fun creating together. I'm sorry to see you go, but you died for a worthy cause. You left beautiful flowers in your wake.
