Card Share

I made this card for our new Circuit Overseer and his wife. She likes to make her own cards too so I'm sure she will appreciate the thought. 

There are six layers of die cuts on top of the card and three layers of flowers, hand watercolored and fussy cut. All on dimensional adhesive.

Europe Trip-Paris the first leg

We just got back from Europe and we had quite an adventure! So much to tell but I will just do some highlights for now...

Paris was our first stop. First impressions:
Easy to use the subway and public transportation. Never needed a cab (except once and THAT is a long story).

Very clean, trash cans were everywhere and people used them. This was the cleanest city we were in of them all.

Monuments were amazing to see.

Espresso and pastries were the best we ever had.

History of the city and how well preserved everything is was awe-inspiring.

Day to day items are expensive (but this was also true in Italy). 5 euros for a bottle of coke which is appx $7.00! Good thing we don't drink soda often.

Water is not automatically given. You have to ask and pay for either still or gas (fizzy). Never served ice with any beverage in either country.

Tucson Bead Show and To Bead True Blue

Went to both shows this week and brought back too many crystals I think! But this is the best place to find them reasonably, so of course I had to stock up when I could. Now I need to start making jewelry again to use them up.

Crystals, faceted gem stones and pearls, ribbon, rhinestone spacers, fire torch enamel supplies, bezels and glass insets, and the cutest crown earring kit! I had to put it together right away. I have a hard time resisting anything with a crown or bees on them.

Shabby Chic Tweety Suite

Just a little project I finished this weekend. Flowers from iamroses, bird house on clearance from Michael's (I think I paid a dollar and I have two more to alter) and everything else from my stash. Hope it brightens your winter day and makes you look forward to spring!
